Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Trainee to join our growing sales team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and eager to build a successful career in software sales.  As a Sales Trainee, you will learn the fundamentals of our sales process, product knowledge, and customer relationship management while contributing to the team’s overall success.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Learning & Development: Actively participate in training programs to develop a deep understanding of our software products & services, sales methodologies, and target markets.
  • Lead Generation Support: Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying potential leads through market research, online resources, and networking.
  • Prospecting: Learn and practice effective prospecting techniques, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling, to generate new business opportunities.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in our CRM system. (HubSpot & Odoo).
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for growth.
  • Customer Interaction: Shadow senior sales representatives on client calls and meetings to observe and learn best practices.
  • Achieving Targets: Work towards individual and team targets as defined by the Sales Manager.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure a cohesive and efficient sales process.
  • Sales Support: Support the sales team by preparing sales materials, proposals, and presentations.

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in technology and software sales.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Sinhala.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).   
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Odoo) is a plus.   
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
